I haven’t had time to open a book these past days, but I did watch a Korean movie: 마루이 비디오 （Marui Video), directed by Yoon Joon-Hyeong (윤준형). (Horror, found footage, occult.)

I really loved it! I saw that it has rather bad reviews on Korean sites, but I found it really good. The found footage is a slow-paced investigative documentary on a murder case. It’s more intriguing than scary, and it felt very realistic.

One more entry in my Korean movie journal! Marui Video is the 8th Korean movie I watched this year so far.

Top part of the right page of a notebook. On the very top left corner of the page, there’s a film poster with the title Marui Video in Korean and VHS piled up under the title. Near the poster are some information about the film “Marui Video, directed and written by Yoon Joon-Hyeong, 2023, Netflix (Korean subtitles)”. Underneath there’s the cast and a summary written in French, but most of it is outside the frame.
