개구리 정원의 살인 gave me a lot of mentions for my bingo reading challenge, but no new entry. Mention of the perfect crime, mention of AI, poisoning… I already had all these for Korean.

One prompt I thought would be hard to fill is De mortuis nil nisi bonum for when characters questioned by the police about the victim start by saying “I know you don’t speak ill of the dead, but…” and then do it anyway. I already found three examples of that!

I’m having a lot of fun with this reading challenge I’m probably missing prompts when I’m too focused on the story and forget that I have this challenge going on lol, but it’s fine.

As 2026 is the year of the Fire Horse, “horse” and “fire” are my first prompts. I found several mentions of fire, but no horse so far.
