My next book in Chinese is going to be FIX2 by Taiwanese author Wolf Hsu (臥斧). I loved the first one, FIX, about authors of crime fiction who didn’t get their own plot right and would even falsely accuse one of their characters to be the culprit.

I hope the second volume will be as good as the first one!

E-reader on a wooden table displaying a book cover on the screen. It has the word “FIX” written in big letters in the middle and a lot of small doodles (like buildings and people) around.

FIX2 by 臥斧.
I read the first three short stories (out of 8), and I’m amazed at how good it is! The first volume was excellent, and I was afraid this one wouldn’t be as inventive, but the first three stories have really impressed me!

And I saw a mention of Agatha Christie in one of the short stories, that’s my first Chinese entry for the “author of detective fiction” prompt.

I have four mentions of fictional detectives and they’re all Sherlock Holmes, and now I have two mentions of authors of detective novels, and both are Agatha Christie.

Top right page of a notebook with the title “Author of detective fiction “ and two quotes, one in Chinese, one in Japanese. In both quotes the name “Agatha Christie” is written in a different colour.

I finished the fourth short story yesterday, and I’m about halfway through the collection now. Really loving it!
I’ll try to read one more story today :neocat_book:

I read the 5th story, this one was so good! Some stories are more focused on the writers and the creation/revision process, but this one was also a lot about the fiction written by the protagonist.

Two more stories to go!
