Had a nice bike ride in Goyang today (it’s just to the west of Seoul). The weather was perfect! 🚴🏻‍♀️

A black road bike is leaning against a wooden post, with grass and dirt around. A path is visible on the back.
Outdoor scenery with a red path on the left and a vast area of grass and plants on the right. Mountains are visible in the distance and heavy grey clouds cover the sky.
Table in a restaurant with a hot pot containing a light soup, a bowl of rice and various side dishes.

Went cycling on the Ara canal today (it’s a canal linking the Han River to the Yellow Sea). It’s one of my favourite places for a bike ride, beautiful and not crowded.

A scenic view of a river bordered by greenery seen from an elevated point. The sky is partly cloudy and it’s early evening. Sky and river are both light grey and blue which contrasts with the two banks being very dark.

Evening ride! I love the Han river so much, no matter where, it’s always a stunning view!

A view of a city skyline along a river, with tall buildings of different sizes and mountain ridge visible behind them and a thin tower standing on the mountain. The sky takes 2/3 of the picture and is filled with grey, menacing clouds.

I haven’t ridden my bike for the longest time (weather is too hot and too humid), but now I’m really itching to get on the bike. I was planning to go for a ride this evening, but it might rain… 😕

I don’t mind riding in the rain, but I’m not looking forward to washing my bike afterwards.

I’m afraid I’ll end up talking myself out of it, so I’m posting this for commitment. I’ll update with a picture later!

The weather is finally warmer, which means more cycling! I’ve recently switched to clipless pedals, and I’ve managed to fall twice since I got them :blog_fail: . No harm, just small bruises.

I can’t say I’m feeling a big difference, but it does look cool 🚴‍♀️

I’ve been cycling a lot since I got my road bike. The Han river cycling road is really good, you can cross all Seoul on both banks. Here’s a couple of pictures from my last bike rides.

First is from Hanam (East of Seoul), the landscape gets mountainous there. Farthest I went is Paldang Bridge, but I plan on exploring more when I have time.

Second is from the Ara cycling path. It’s along the Ara canal that links the Han River to the Yellow Sea. You can basically go from Seoul to the coast without leaving the cycling road (apart from a very short part).

A scenic view of green mountains under a partly cloudy sky, with trees and alleys in the foreground. The picture is taken from an elevated standpoint.
A river scene with a smooth water surface, flanked by a cycling path and vegetation. In the background, there’s a bridge over the river, and hills with on the other side.
