It’s still the middle of the afternoon, and there’s already a lot of fans around Gwanghwamun Square. I hope everything goes well!
(I’m just passing through, not staying.)

A large street lined with traffic cones and barricades and security agents in the middle. It’s closed to circulation and several vehicles are parked along the road. Tall buildings are visible in the background under a clear blue sky.
A city scene featuring tall buildings with giant screens and posters advertising for BTS. In front of the buildings there are booths to pick up goods. There are a lot of people walking on the sidewalk.
A pile of newspapers on the ground, outside. They are from different companies but all have a similar front page advertising for BTS with the name or pictures of the group featured prominently.
City scene with police buses jn the foreground and a tall building on the right with a huge banner on it featuring the Arirang logo. Booths and security officers can be seen in the background.

Giant screens on Gwanghwamun square advertising for BTS concert next weekend. :blobcatglowsticks:

A modern building with a glass façade and two giant screens on it. The screens both display the same image: the 7 members of BTS standing in a line with foggy light around them. The street in front of the building is rather empty.

Went to see the Seoul Light Gwanghwamun media show where four different artworks are projected with music on the façade of Gwanghwamun. It was really great, the first performance, Feast of Lights by aplan-company was very impressive. 🎇

We thought of going to the Gwanghwamun market as it was just on the square, but there was such a long waiting line to enter that we gave up.

(And because Kyobo bookstore is on the way to the metro, I bought a book on the way back  )

Picture taken by night of a long stone wall and a huge traditional Korean gate at the center with three red arches and a double roof pavilion. The whole façade is illuminated with lights. The sky is black and a crowd of people is on the foreground, waiting to cross a street.

Evening run 🏃🏻‍♀️!
That’s a picture of the National Assembly Building that’s on Yeouido. (The bridge didn’t look that pink irl, but the picture is kind of cool :blob_smiley: )

Picture taken by night. Foreground is a bridge for pedestrians with pink lights coming from the handrails. Background shows a large lighted building with columns and a green dome.

Went cycling on the Ara canal today (it’s a canal linking the Han River to the Yellow Sea). It’s one of my favourite places for a bike ride, beautiful and not crowded.

A scenic view of a river bordered by greenery seen from an elevated point. The sky is partly cloudy and it’s early evening. Sky and river are both light grey and blue which contrasts with the two banks being very dark.

Evening ride! I love the Han river so much, no matter where, it’s always a stunning view!

A view of a city skyline along a river, with tall buildings of different sizes and mountain ridge visible behind them and a thin tower standing on the mountain. The sky takes 2/3 of the picture and is filled with grey, menacing clouds.

Evening run! 🏃🏻‍♀️
(Took the picture while running so it’s not aligned 😅)
Buying mandu on the way home 😋

A large river with a city skyline on the other bank and a small boat in the distance. The sky takes half of the picture and has big clouds with different shades of pink and grey.
A steam-filled kitchen counter opened on the street with multiple steamed pots for dumplings. A person in a white shirt is working in the background, while kitchen utensils and containers are displayed around.

There are outdoor swimming pools installed on Gwanghwamun Square :blob_openmouth:
The pools were empty, but people (mostly with children) were queuing up to enter.

Judging from the banners, this event is associated with the 80th anniversary of the Liberation.

An outdoor event area featuring colorful signage reading "Seoul My Soul." The scene includes white tents, promotional banners, and swimming pools barely visible behind the banners. Mountain and building in the distance.
