I posted a picture of Autumn Forest on my blog but just realised that the pink glitter is much more visible on this one!

> Dominant Industry, Autumn Forest. It’s a green ink with pink shimmer.

These are some notes I took while playing Where Winds Meet. I’m so used to names of plants being fictional in Genshin, that I’m always surprised when I look up plants in WWM and find out that they really exist!

close-up of a page with handwritten notes (mostly Chinese vocabulary explained in English). The ink used is a base green, but it has a pink shimmer (the glitter is really visible on some letters) to the point where it’s hard to tell if the ink is green or pink.

I finished chapter 1 of the main story and it was so so good :meow_hearts:
I love this game so much, I wish I had more time to play it… :meow_controller:

Gacha games BP spending

The three gacha games I’m playing all have an outfit/skin in their battle pass. I’m only buying one BP across the three games, so I’ll decide which one to take depending on which outfit I like the most.

This time, WWM was a clear winner. The red headband :ablobcatheart: and (can’t see on the picture, but) the hair is partially braided :meow_hearts: :blobmiou:

The problem with Genshin, is that I don’t really need any BP weapon anymore, and even though I could use the resources, I find it hard to justify buying the BP just for that. So the most interesting thing to me is the manekin skin, but I don’t really play MW anymore, so even if I unlocked the BP, I probably would not be able to complete the MW version anyway.

Skins in Reverse 1999 are always so gorgeous, especially the tarot series, but it’s also the game I’m playing the less atm, and I don’t pull a lot of characters, so I’m literally drowning in levelling resources.

And I don’t know much about WWM outfits. I didn’t like the ones featured in the BP when I started, but the new one looks so cool I had to go for it.

Game screenshot showing a male character standing and facing the camera (only the upper body is visible). He has weapon on his back, long black hair and a red handband. He is wearing an ornate black patterned outfit with brocade and golden fasteners. The background is a blurred natural landscape. The vibe is fantasy/wuxia aesthetic.

I played Where Winds Meet main story, and sometimes I have no clue what characters are saying :blobcatgooglyshrug:

I was about to give up when I saw that the
dialogue option was “what are you talking about?” which made me feel better.

I now know, because I looked it up, that it has sth to do with the Pythagorean Theorem, but I can’t say I understand the sentence :blob_smilesweat:

Bottom part of a game screenshot showing a text box. A character is saying: 凡并勾、股之实即成弦实,或方干内,或矩干外. The player has two options: saying “你在说什么?” Or saying goodbye.

I want to get into Wuxia fiction, but reading wuxia novels in Chinese feels daunting, so I thought I’d start with a game, thinking it’d be easier. I tried Where Winds Meet, and this game is incredible!

But it’s really hard to play in Chinese, there’s so many menus and things to do, so I’m making a glossary of terms like region names, martial arts and inner ways, name of quests and collectibles, etc.

Most of the time I don’t know what I’m doing, but the game is stunning :meow_wow: :meow_controller:

Notebook opened filled with notes about a wuxia game: there are the names of game regions and a list of quests to do. The name of quests is in Chinese with pinyin and English translation. The right part of the page is reserved for vocabulary.
